I'm Katie, an RN with a background in home health, diabetic care, and wound care. I bring professional foot care into your home — kitchen chair, recliner, wherever you're comfortable. No appointments rushed. No travel for you.
"Feet hold a lot of stories. I take the time to listen — and to do the care right, in the place that feels safest."
Most of what's keeping you on your feet — or off them — can be handled in a single, unhurried visit. Here's what I bring through the door.
Thick, curved, hard-to-reach, or just stubborn. Trimmed safely, properly shaped, and finished smooth — even when home tools won't cut it.
Gentle, careful technique built around what's safe for diabetic skin and circulation. I check, I clean, I document — every visit.
Thinning thick skin that's causing pressure, pain, or making shoes hurt. Comfortable walking starts with comfortable feet.
Cleaned, trimmed, and dressed properly. I'll talk through what's working at home and when it's time to loop in your doctor.
Background in wound care means I know what a small problem looks like before it becomes a big one. Clean, dress, monitor, advise.
Every 6–8 weeks for most folks. I keep the schedule, send the reminders, and you keep your feet — and your independence.
I'm Katie — a Registered Nurse with experience in home health, diabetic care, and wound care. After years of seeing how much a small foot issue can cost someone in mobility, comfort, and independence, I decided to do something about it.
Sole Purpose is mobile. I come to your home with a clean kit, a kitchen chair, a good light, and the time to do it right. No waiting room. No rushed appointment. Just careful, attentive care — for you or someone you love.
One phone call (or message), a short conversation about what's going on, and we're on the schedule. That's the whole process.
Call or text (412) 378-2833, or message me on Facebook. Tell me what's going on with your feet — or your loved one's. No pressure, no commitment.
I'll find a time that works for the patient — mornings, afternoons, weekdays, weekends. Family welcome to join. I'll confirm the address and what to have ready.
Clean kit, comfortable setup, unrushed care. Most first visits run 45–60 minutes. We'll talk through what I see and set up the next visit if you'd like one.
Visiting homes across these towns and the surrounding neighborhoods. Don't see your town? Call — I likely cover it.
Not sure if I cover your area? Give me a call — I'll tell you straight.
If your question's not here, just call or message. I'd rather have a real conversation than guess at what you need.
Right now, my services are private pay. That's a deliberate choice — it lets me give each visit dedicated, unrushed time, in your home, with a real focus on comfort, safety, and education. Insurance-based home visits don't always allow for that.
Pricing depends on what's needed and where you're located. The fastest way to get a clear number is to call (412) 378-2833 — we'll talk through what's going on and I'll quote it straight.
Yes — diabetic-safe technique is part of my background. I'm trained to be careful with skin integrity, circulation, and signs that need to be flagged to your doctor. If something looks like it needs your physician's eyes, I'll tell you.
Absolutely — and most of my visits are arranged that way. Family or caregivers are welcome to be present during the visit. I'll talk through what I see, what I did, and what to watch for.
Routine maintenance is usually every 6–8 weeks, but it depends on the person. After a first visit I'll tell you what I'd recommend — and you can decide what feels right.
I'll tell you. Part of what an RN brings to foot care is knowing when something is outside the scope of what I can — or should — handle in a home visit. I'll explain what I'm seeing and recommend the next step.
One call gets you on the schedule. No pressure, no commitment. We'll talk through what's going on and figure out the next step together.
