Brookville's first coffin-core café — espresso, lattes, cold brew, Lotus & Red Bull infusions, all made with carefully sourced beans. Plus a houseplant exchange wall and weekly yoga & pilates classes. Born in a coffee trailer. Now haunting Main Street.
Beyond the espresso machine, the café doubles as a community space — and that means weekly yoga and pilates classes right inside the shop. All levels welcome, no studio membership required.
Bring a mat, grab a latte before or after, and turn a regular Tuesday morning into something better.
Right inside the café — a wall of houseplants you can trade with. Bring a cutting from one of yours, snag one of someone else's, and walk out with a new friend for your windowsill.
It's a community thing. It's free. And it's the kind of detail that makes a coffee shop feel like a coffee shop, not a Starbucks.
Jasonna Hockinson is a Brookville native who launched Grounded Brewings in June 2023 as a mobile coffee trailer. The drinks, the personality, and the bold visual style built a following fast — fast enough that just a few years later, the trailer became a brick-and-mortar café right in Historic Downtown Brookville.
The whole thing is a little weird, a little gothic, a little plant-mom — and entirely on purpose. Coffin-core isn't a gimmick. It's the brand.
The cafe runs on the same energy as the trailer did: bold drinks, bold personality, real attention to the details. Every Lotus pour, every Red Bull infusion, every shot of espresso — Jasonna and her team treat them like the drinks people are coming all the way to Main Street for. (Which, increasingly, they are.)
The café in real life. The drinks, the plant wall, the regulars, the vibe.

Right in the heart of Historic Downtown Brookville. Open early for the morning crowd, closed Sunday so we can rest.
5:30 AM Monday through Friday. 8 AM Saturday. We're open before the sun. Drinks to die for, plants to swap, classes to stretch into. Come see what coffin-core actually means.
